Changing the World Personal note from Valerie
For many years I have observed that the organisational frameworks and governance systems
of the NHS drain it of energy and creativity at every level. And I have recently had the opportunity to review my work and life priorities a result of being on the receiving end of care for six months.
As a result I am giving time and energy to developing and articulating a coherent,
convincing argument for a new organisational framework and a new model of professionalism that will enable the flourishing of individuals and services, and allow the combined talents within the NHS to be greater
than the sum of their parts rather than (as has so often been observed) so much less.
