NHS Confederation Salons

In order to broaden the scope of thinking available to health care managers Nigel Edwards,
policy director of the NHS Confederation, hosts occasional meetings of a wide range of thinkers, in the form of a Salon.
Invited participants share their own perspectives on a subject of interest to all, enabling
both a fresh understanding of complex or intractable issues and also an introduction to fields of study of which other participants may be unaware.
The meetings, of about 15 people, are held about three times a year and are usually
convivial and entertaining as well as thought provoking and productive.
Valerie Iles is currently designing and facilitating these on Nigel’s behalf.
