Designing a personal effectiveness element into an academic programme

A common complaint about academic courses is that participants do not use their new skills and understanding in their work setting. participants complain too, that their organisations do not make this possible.

One way of addressing this is to design into the academic programme an element that allows participants to increase their personal effectiveness in their workplace and consider how they can exploit their learning to benefit themselves, their clients and their organisation.

Really Learning can do this in two ways. We can look at your existing modules and suggest ways of modifying them , to include activities, assignments or ,in some cases, additional concepts, so that there is a connection between every module and translation into action in the workplace.

Or we can design a personal effectiveness theme which runs alongside the other modules of your programme, drawing on the principles of action learning and participative personal development.

Either way we can help you deliver a programme that transforms the effectiveness and aspirations of your participants.
